Turks & Caicos Islands are a tiny dot on any map, a charming small archipelago of 40 small islands and cays surrounding a shallow sandy bank. Deep ocean on all sides provide fabulous diving, serene isolation and fresh warm breezes. The weather is usually sunny and relatively dry. This spectacular island group is found in the North Atlantic Ocean, southeast of the Bahamas, north of Hispaniola, and 494 nautical miles from Miami, at 21°45′N, 71°35′W.

Located at the end of the Bahamas chain, TCI ( as it is locally known) , there are two island groups – the Turks Islands and the Caicos Islands - and these two distinct island groups are separated by the Turks Passage. The eight inhabited islands are Grand Turk, Salt Cay, South Caicos, Ambergris cay, Providencailes, Pine Cay, Parrot Cay, North Caicos and Middle Caicos. Flights ( not at all regular) and boats ply between all the islands. With a total land area of 616.3 square kilometres (238 sq mi), primarily of low, flat limestone with extensive marshes and mangrove swamps and 370 kilometres (230 mi) of beach front thi is indeed a very unique place!! Providenciales is the main port of entry for most visitors from abroad and the following carriers offer direct flights :

  • American Airlines ( from Miami, New York, Boston, Dallas)
  • US Airways ( from Charlotte, Washington, Philedelphia)
  • Delta Airlines ( from Atlanta)
  • Air Canada ( from Toronto)
  • WestJet ( from Toronto)
  • British Airways ( from London UK)
  • Bahamas Air ( from Nassau)

Pine Cay has its own airstrip and customs/immigration can be arranged directly on island for a fee. Boat transport from Providenciales to Pine Cay is arranged directly by The Meridian Club for all visitors, a very comfortable and short journey.
